カヒミ・カリィ - NUNKI
Sunday, 30 August 2009
At this long Holiday i've been listening to NUNKI, latest work of Kahimi Karie - a Japanese shibuya-kei vocalist who sings in Japanese, English, and French. Well almost entire of her career she spent on Paris so maybe her music are more like French music. "NUNKI" is truly a great album. Most of it is very quiet, an ambient mixture with a guitar and Kahimi's voice making for a well balanced and pleasant sound. She's gone on to create some of the most challenging, odd, and impressive music in the Japanese music scene. The music she created simultaneously inviting and challenging, an hour long lullaby that ranges from the gently traditional to the inaccessibly abstract.

this is my favourite track "I'm in the rain"
First time i found her awesome track on Katamari Soundtrack, then lately found out that this is Kahimi who adored by Negishi from that DMC manga hahaha. Then found this beautiful album, it's relaxing, but it's not easy. It will make you listen and have a peace of mind. Check her last.fm.
